Francisco Sarria Born in Bogotá, Colombia, 1969, furniture and graphic designer. Francisco graduated from Javeriana University in 1994 having studied product design. He joined the blue fly studio later that year, working as a graphic and editorial designer, leaving in 1996 to establish his own practice, buro. Here, Francisco continued to develop his graphic design portfolio and began designing furniture and exhibition stands for clients in media and communications. he moved to london in 1999, continuing to work as an independent furniture and corporate designer until 2001 when he joined the bowles and linares studio. in 2002 he started designing furniture and interiors for moss furniture in london to become head of design in 2003. projects designing domestic and commercial interiors followed. new furniture ranges, the first collaboration with nick hannam, were exhibited at 100%25 design london and maison et objets, paris in 2004. francisco’s tumako shelving, inspired by an aboriginal colombian culture was a finalist in the 2004 design and decoration awards. he has since completed numerous furniture collections, brand creation, product communication and interior design projects for clients in retail and design. Lars Jessen born in aarhus, denmark, 1977, BA in information studies with emphasis on design and HCI, university of aarhus, denmark. masters in interaction design, chalmers university of technology, gothenburg, sweden. lars has worked on a variety of projects from traditional screen based applications to projects challenging the conventional interaction paradigms. he is used to working both on a conceptual and theoretic level, as well as on a practical level building prototypes. since he joined digit, london, in 2004, as an interaction designer he has work for clients including motorola and vodafone. Rafael Cardenas born in medellin, colombia, 1968, acquired a national diploma in photography and film at salisbury college, england, completed courses in video and photography at the arts institutes of philadelphia and florida, and assisted various photographers of great recognition in london for 3 years. as a member of the association of photographers in uk, he has participated in different collective exhibitions. rafael has recieved several awards: first place in the fuji student competition of the year in the uk, 1998, selected for kodak student competition in the uk, 1997 and for the bienal colombiana de fotografia 2002 and 2003. he is currently working in fashion, advertisement and editorial photography as well as video.
